AC Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced AC Technician to join our team. The AC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair various types of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including split systems, central cooling plants, chillers, and refrigeration units.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in AC and refrigeration systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Replace or repair defective components, such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, and valves.
• Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and recharging according to industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct system performance tests and adjustments to ensure proper operation and adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate with other technicians and contractors on larger installation or maintenance projects.
• Keep accurate records of service calls, maintenance activities, and repairs performed.
• Provide recommendations to customers on system upgrades, repairs, or replacements based on the condition and efficiency of existing equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations during all work activities.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians when required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

Requirements

• 3 experience as an AC Technician or HVAC technician.
• Certification or diploma in HVAC/R or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, components, and controls.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in AC systems.
• Skilled in using tools and equipment for installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
